12, 2004 - Marriage Equality March: CA Supreme Court Declared Null and Void
On the same day that the California Supreme court invalidated the thousands of same-gender marriages performed in San Francisco last marchers took to the streets declaring the courts decision null and void.
The peaceful march of several thousand, some dressed in wedding gowns and tuxedos, others carrying their marriage licenses, and many holding candles, started with a rally in the Castro district, headed down market street, and finished with a rally at City Hall.
