Beyond Voting
November 3, 2004
On the day after after the 2004 presidential election, and just hours after John Kerry conceded the election to George Bush, San Franciscans took to the streets as part of the nation-wide Beyond Voting movement.
Carrying signs and banners proclaiming "Healthcare Not Warfare" and "People Not Profit" the march headed through the center of San Francisco stopping at several picket lines of locked out hotel works, an immigrant workers protest, as well as the soon to be closed Tenderloin Self-Help Center, before rallying in front of San Francisco's Federal Building.
