SAN FRANCISCO,
CA - June 16 - Protesters demonstrated in front of Congresswoman
Nancy Pelosi's San Francisco office to protest her support for
the policies of the Israeli government. The protest was held on
the 16th of the month in memory of Rachel
Corrie a peace activist murdered
while attempting to keep a Palestinian house from being destroyed.
According to the organizers of the protest, similar demonstrations
will be held on the 16th of each month in front the offices of other
Bay Area politicians.
The protest
was also intended to educate the American public on
Israel's use of US tax dollars to enforce and expand it's occupation
of Palestinian lands. US tax dollars, in addition to supporting
the more obvious forms of oppression, are being used to build an
infrastructure of occupation including bypass
roads that can only be used by settlers, and a wall
that is twice as high and three times as long as the Berlin wall
according to Wendy Campbell the director of "Truth:
Exposing Israeli Apartheid" and one of the protest organizers.

The protest was
organized by Americans for Justice in Palestine-Israel,
Americans for National Security Affairs, and Citizens
for Fair Legislation.
